After yesterday’s arrival of the competitors as well as lots of late-night parties, a new day in scenic Umag finally came bearing with it the official start of all the
competitions.
Wednesday at the Games brought us new, exciting tasks in the problem-solving arenas which were packed with contestants from early on in the morning. The tasks that were presented in the arenas required creative, innovative thinking and cooperation between competitors. Naturally, there was no shortage of creative ideas.
Along with the problem-solving competition, morning brought along the first sports and eSports matches. As expected, the bleachers were packed with those who came along to support their colleges and the atmosphere was intense to the very end.
Esports competitions in LOL and FIFA began from early on in the morning, followed by CS:GO and Rocket League matches after lunch, which, with the help of a healthy dose of coffee, lasted well into the afternoon.
The evening brought with it some intense Beer Pong matches – all the available spots were expectedly filled within record time – followed by some great music from DJ Vermont who entertained us the entire night.
On Thursday we can expect new and exciting problem-solving tasks, intense matches and a STEM quiz that shouldn’t be missed!
