Sport

  • The competition takes place in 9 sports for both men and women: futsal, basketball, handball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess, rowing, and cross-country running.
  • In all sports, students compete in both men’s and women’s categories. Women are also eligible to compete in the men's category.
  • The right to participate in sports competitions is granted to students and individuals who graduated in the academic year 2022/2023.
  • Each competitor can participate in only one sport. An exception to this rule is the combination of volleyball and beach volleyball. Additionally, individuals competing in any other sport can also participate in cross-country running.
  • The leader of each sports team must provide a list of participants competing in each sports discipline to the sports manager.
  • During each match, a team can ask the scorer to verify the identity of up to two individuals from the opposing team.
  • If competitors fail to prove their identity, their team loses the match by default and the match will not be played.
  • Sports teams are not allowed to reschedule matches.
  • Sports teams have the right to object.
  • Sports managers reserve the right to change the rules under extraordinary circumstances.

FUTSAL

  • The competition is held separately for men and women.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • There are 4 players and 1 goalkeeper on the field, and a maximum of 14 players (including goalkeepers) can be registered for the match.
  • Teams will be drawn into groups followed by a knockout system.
  • Matches are played in 2 x 15 minutes of "dirty" time.
  • The games are played outdoors on artificial turf (even in case of rain), and cleats are prohibited.
  • In the finals, if the score is tied, each team executes 5 penalties.
  • If it is still tied, penalties are taken until a decisive score is achieved.
  • Teams take turns executing penalties, with a different player for each penalty.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player, top scorer, and best goalkeeper of the tournament will be announced.

BASKETBALL

  • The competition is held separately for men and women.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • There are 5 players on the court, and a maximum of 12 players can be registered for the match.
  • Teams will be drawn into groups followed by a knockout system.
  • Matches are played in 4 x 6 minutes of "dirty" time.
  • The games are played on a tartan surface, and in case of rain, they are played on indoor hardwood floors.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be announced.

HANDBALL

  • The competition is held separately for men and women.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • There are 6 players and 1 goalkeeper on the court, and a maximum of 16 players (including goalkeepers) can be registered for the match.
  • Teams will be drawn into groups followed by a knockout system.
  • Matches are played in 2 x 15 minutes of "dirty" time.
  • The games are played indoors on hardwood floors.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be announced.

VOLLEYBALL

  • The competition is held separately for men and women.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • There are 6 players on the court, and a maximum of 12 players can be registered for the match.
  • Teams will be drawn into groups followed by a knockout system.
  • Matches are played to 2 winning sets, the first two sets to 25, the third to 15, all sets played to a 2-point difference.
  • The games are played indoors on hardwood floors.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be announced.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

  • The competition is held separately for men and women.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • There are 2 players on the court, and a maximum of 4 players can be registered for the match.
  • Teams will be drawn into groups followed by a knockout system.
  • Matches are played to 2 winning sets, the first two sets to 21, the third to 15, all sets played to a 2-point difference.
  • The games are played on sand outdoors.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be announced.

TABLE TENNIS

  • The competition is held separately for men's and women's divisions.
  • Each higher education institution can register only one team.
  • Competitors are required to bring their own rackets.
  • Teams will be drawn into several groups.
  • 4 players register for the tournament, and 3 players compete in each match.
  • Matches are played best of 5 games.
  • Match schedule between teams A and B:
    1. A1 - B2
    2. A2 - B1
    3. A3 - B3
    4. A1 - B1
    5. A2 - B2
  • A match is played best of 5 sets.
  • Sets are played to 11 points with a 2-point difference.
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be announced.

CHESS

  • The competition is held in mixed and women’s categories.
  • The competition is team-based.
  • Women can participate in both the mixed and women's categories.
  • There is no requirement for a mixed team to include a woman; it can consist of only 4 men.
  • A team consists of 4 players and 2 reserves.
  • The competition will follow the Berger or Swiss system for 11 rounds (depending on the number of teams).
  • The time control is 7 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
  • The first criterion for deciding the winner in team competition is match points.
  • For the individual competition, each university can send one representative (the top 5 teams in the team competition can choose 2 players).
  • The individual competition will be played (depending on the number of players) with Berger or Swiss system for 7 rounds.
  • The time control for individual competition is also 7 minutes + 3 seconds per move.
  • All participants are required to bring 2 proper chess sets (clock, pieces, and board).
  • At the end of the tournament, the best player of the tournament will be declared as the first board of the winning team.

INDOOR ROWING

  • Team rankings are made separately for men's and women's categories.
  • The competition may be held separately for men's and women's categories depending on the number of entries and the assessment of “crowd at the start”, but all categories run the same course.
  • Each university registers a maximum of one team per category with at least 3 and at most 5 individuals.
  • Team placement is determined by summing the placements of the fastest 3 team members, and teams are ranked by the lowest total score.
  • At the end of the race, the fastest male and female rower will be announced.

CROSS COUNTRY RUNNING

  • The competition is held separately for men's and women's divisions.
  • Each higher education institution can register a maximum of two teams in each division, each scored separately.
  • It is possible that two teams from the same institution finish among the top three, in which case both teams receive the corresponding medal.
  • A team consists of four students from the same higher education institution.
  • The men's part of the competition is organized as a relay race 4 x 1000 m.
  • Each student rows 1000 m on an ergometer.
  • The women's part of the competition is organized as a relay race 4 x 500 m.
  • Each student rows 500 m on an ergometer.
  • At the end of the tournament, the fastest rower and roweress will be announced.
